What is the inspiration behind your new single,
“While The Love Is Gone”?

"While The Love Is Gone" was a real break through song for me, I wrote the song after travelling around in Spain, England, and then China. I was really inspired by the beauty of China and it added a particular oriental sound to my music. The story behind "While The Love Is Gone" is really based around the 20th century idea of love, if one person goes away just move on to the next one.

Tell us what it was like working with mastering engineer John Webber.

I have always wanted to work with a world class mastering engineer such as John Webber, it was a learning experience because he really explains the process well. Mastering is essentially the last step of the production, when your track is ready to be distributed, you master it so that it sounds amazing on all digital platforms; so it is more or less the final packaging that the music goes through. I am really pleased with how the track sounds across all digital platforms. It is really tricky to achieve a well balanced release nowadays. You can’t control what song a person will listen to before and after your song, what device they listen to it on and which digital platform they use. Digital platforms such as iTunes, Spotify, Soundcloud and Youtube add their own “effects” on the track when you upload them too, the difference is probably negligible to most of the audience but a real audio enthusiast will always be able to tell. What else, John is an Apple certified mastering engineer too, that is why you can listen to a “mastered for iTunes” version on iTunes. A mastered for iTunes version delivers the highest quality soundtrack to the audience delivering the music as the artist intends it to be heard enhancing the listening experience!

Who would you like to collaborate with next?

I am always on the look out for people to collaborate with. I really want work with musicians who play unique eastern instruments. I am also on the look out to collaborate with a Ballet dancer for my next music video.  I would also like to collaborate with different people involved in different art forms - designers, make up artists, photographers, dancers etc.

Anything you’d like to add?

I would like to thank everyone who has supported my new music, it means the absolute world to me. As an unsigned artist I want to share the fact that I am not supported by any company or label and I do most of the work myself. Lately, social media platforms like Facebook have made it incredibly hard for artists to share their work as a result of their “promotions” strategies. It is not always feasible to pay for social media promotion as it is expensive and does not always share the music with genuine listeners. I would like to request anyone who loves my new track to share it with their friends and spread the love. My music is also up for download on iTunes & Bandcamp, I also put up videos regularly on my Youtube channel and most of my music can be found there!
